Writing

In fifth grade, our English teacher made us write a 100-page novella as part of our semester project. As a 10 year old obsessed with Percy Jackson and Brendan Fraser from the Mummy, I wrote a self-insert fan-fiction where three teenagers were zapped out of the sky and abandoned on an island ruled by an Egyptian pharaoh.

Unfortunately, when I submitted my assignment, my teacher showed me that our assignment had a second page; we had been instructed to write a 'realistic fiction', and not what my teacher described as 'a speculative, messy fantasy story.' The point of this unnecessarily long anecdote is to apologize to my fifth grade English teacher because I have continued to write speculative and messy short stories (occasionally poetry too) on my blog here. I've also written a book called 'Hierarchy of Nonsense' (HoN) and am currently working on two books: a sequel to HoN and an extension of one of my short stories, 'Pixelated Kisses.'

Hiking

I like walking, in general. And hiking up steep slopes is an excellent way to get an adrenaline rush! The longest hike I've done is 18 miles (San Francisco's Crosstown Trail). I have some pictures from my hikes here. 

Reading

As of October 2026, I have read 414 books that I remember. My five favorite books as of now are:

Concerts/Music

I've been to 20 concerts! My top three experiences so far have been AJR's Somewhere in the Sky Tour at the Merriweather Post Pavilion, Bleachers's From the Studio to the Stage, and Noah Kahan's The Great Divide Tour at Nationals Park.
