Hobbies!

These are some of the things I do outside work hours.

Writing

When I was in fifth grade, my English teacher made us write a 100-page novella. Mine was a fan-fiction, self-insert novella of The Mummy, and I've loved writing since then. I have my own blog on this link, where I occasionally publish short stories or poems. I've also written a book called 'Hierarchy of Nonsense' (HoN) and am currently working on two books: a sequel to HoN and an extension of one of my short stories, 'Pixelated Kisses.'

Hiking

I like walking, in general. And hiking up steep slopes is an excellent way to get an adrenaline rush! The longest hike I've done is 18 miles (San Francisco's Crosstown Trail). I have some pictures from my hikes here

Reading

As of June 2026, I have read 404 books that I remember. My five favorite books as of now are:

  1. House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

  2. One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

  3. Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams

  4. Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers

  5. Reaper Man by Terry Pratchett

Concerts/Music

I've been to 18 concerts. My favorite so far has been AJR's Somewhere in the Sky Tour at Merriweather Post Pavilion. They also had two openers that I love: Cavetown and Chelsea Cutler. Other artists I’ve really enjoyed watching live are Bleachers (From the Studio to the Stage), Mitski (The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We), Noah Kahan (We'll All Be Here Forever), Djo (Back On You) and Hozier (Unreal Unearth).

Ice Skating

I am very new to ice skating. I've only started in May, but ever since watching Heated Rivalry, I've developed the completely reasonable and achievable goal of playing hockey by 2027/2028.
